This aquarium is in a great location overlooking the Sea of Japan. We display 10,000 creatures of 400 species, including Polar bear and Akita prefecture famous fish "Hatahata".

This is a roadside rest area which has a wide variety of local products such as flowers produced in Showa district in Katagami city which is called “town of flower”, local vegetables, Akita’s souvenirs and special products of Katagami city.
“Restaurant Hana-no-daichi” is getting good reputations from women because it is possible to look flowers while they are having meals.

Our company founded in 1879, manufacturing and selling sake, miso, soy sauce, shochu. In the old brewery store from the Meiji period, brewing microorganisms keep the traditional taste and keep working around the clock. In addition, we renovated the brewery of sake and opened it as Ikuo Nakamura photo gallery "Blue Hall" in November 2009.

Top of Mt. Kanpuzan is covered with the grasses and it is clear from obstructions to the view. The view from Mt. Kanpuzan is so beautiful and it is reputed “A mountain of view, one of the three scenic spots in the world, Mt. Kanpuzan”. You can enjoy 360 degrees’ great panorama from the rotating observatory which makes one rotation in 13 minutes. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy the great view while you are eating, souvenir shop which has a lot of local products of Oga, Akita.

We own a source and popular hot springs where hot water spouts vigorously from the mouth of the Namahage.
You can enjoy a local special dish "Ishiyaki cuisine" (reservation required) and local cuisine "Ampura-mochi".

Even in two generations, relaxing in the room, refreshing your body and mind by the "Kakenagashi" hot springs, and relishing the famous local cuisine "Ishiyaki", which is a local cuisine that grill the stone found on the local coast for about 3 hours till it turns red with charcoal, put the stone in a wooden bucket with fresh seafood, and boil it instantly.
