Long established store of famous Akita confections has continued about 140 years. We produce “Tofu Kamaboko”, “Tofu Kasutera” and “Sambai mocha” using unchanged recipe and ingredients. Those have been descended as gifts for ceremonial occasions since Edo era.
“Tofu Kamaboko” is a local confection which made from Tofu and minced fish. It is sweetened slightly and steamed. “Sambai mochi” is traditional mochi confection particular to rice-producing region. It has unique soft texture like mochi but deliciousness of red soy bean paste spread in your mouth as you chew.

Modern facility surrounded by beech forest. Our inn is the newest one in this historic spa of Nyuto-Onsenkyo. All hot springs have different quality and each 7 inns show different appearance. That is a rare case even across Japan. In such a situation, it can be said that our inn is like a hotel because there is a wide lobby and we offer customers a variety of lunch menus and a buffet-style dinner including local food in Akita. You can enjoy the scenery of Lake Tazawa from all seats of our restaurant while having meal. Dishes using agricultural products of Akita and home-brewed beer are recommended. Food menu changes four times a year depending on the seasons. In autumn, “Dento yasai plate” using traditional vegetables of Akita is popular. Amang home-brewed beer, “Beni Komachi Lager Beer” made from locally produced rice “Akita Komachi” is popular. Enjoy freshly brewed beer. There is beach called “Shirahama” in front of the restaurant. You can enjoy taking a walk, play area for kids, and rest area. Walking trail (Slope available in front of ORAE) is built along the lake so that wheelchair and buggy users are also accessible. Large shop curtain is a sign of Kakunodate Station Akita Nairiku Railway. Turn right when you get out the ticket gate after getting off bullet train. We will take you to the four seasons of travel on Akita Nairiku Railway.

Folake is a tourist information center located in Tazawako JR Station yard. We provide tourist information of Tazawako area as well as surrounding area such as Kakunodate and Nishiki. A fireworks museum in Daisen City, where "Omagari National Fireworks Competition" is held. It is a facility where visitors can fully enjoy the fireworks through valuable materials, realistic models, and video.
