Lake Tazawa is known as the deepest lake in Japan, Persian blue surface, and folk story of the beautiful woman “Tatsuko”. Tazawako Rest House is located at the lakeside. You can enjoy the view of the lake while having meal in the restaurant and shopping of local specialty. In addition, courtyard has great view spot of Lake Tazawa. Specious beautiful lawn is good for relaxing.
We sell honey not only domestic products but also ones from all over the world. In the same location, there are sweet shop using honey for products and pizzeria. You can enjoy Neapolitan Pizza baked in stone oven using wood.
Odate Tourist Information Center in the Akita-inu-no-sato (Facilities name) provides tourist information of Odate City and brochures of cities, towns, villages around Odate. In the products corner established together with the center, we offer a plenty of local souvenirs and products of “Akita Dog” which is popular recently.

In summer there are fireworks and "Tenku no Fuyajo" that a few large lanterns boasting the best heights in Japan and walking in the town, and "Onagori Festival" where some Tohoku region festivals come together.

Ando family has lived in Kakunodate as a landowner since Kyoho era. We began to produce Miso (soybean paste) and Shoyu (soy sauce) using rice which was paid as a rent by tenant farmer. The wooden signboard “Hitachiden Kishoyu” hung out storefront still retains vestige from those days. In present, we devote ourselves to produce Miso, Soy sauce, and pickles. We have continued to protect our traditional taste handed down from generation to generation. In addition, brickwork warehouse used for guest room built during middle of the Meiji era is open to the public for free. Please come and visit us.
It is located in Nikaho City Tourism Center "Nikahotto" and it is open from 9 am to 9 pm. We provide sightseeing information throughout Akita Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture Shonai area.
For example, we introduce information such as 'Geopark' centered on Mount Chokai, other sightseeing spots featuring Nikaho's rich nature and history.
Yokote City Fureai Center “Kamakura-kan” is a complex facility of tourism and culture. It has concert hall, meeting room, and a gallery which displays Kamakura (snow hat) made of real snow all year round. There is also a gift shop selling specialties of Yokote. Staffs of Yokote Tourist Association reside in. We are looking forward to seeing you.
Long established store of famous Akita confections has continued about 140 years. We produce “Tofu Kamaboko”, “Tofu Kasutera” and “Sambai mocha” using unchanged recipe and ingredients. Those have been descended as gifts for ceremonial occasions since Edo era.
“Tofu Kamaboko” is a local confection which made from Tofu and minced fish. It is sweetened slightly and steamed. “Sambai mochi” is traditional mochi confection particular to rice-producing region. It has unique soft texture like mochi but deliciousness of red soy bean paste spread in your mouth as you chew.
