This is the largest copper mine historic site in Japan. It has 1300 years of history and you can get a close look of the remains of mining. You can also study its history and mining technology while walking through 1.7 kilometers tunnel. This is the place you can enthusiastically learn about mining.

This aquarium is in a great location overlooking the Sea of Japan. We display 10,000 creatures of 400 species, including Polar bear and Akita prefecture famous fish "Hatahata".

This is a roadside rest area which has a wide variety of local products such as flowers produced in Showa district in Katagami city which is called “town of flower”, local vegetables, Akita’s souvenirs and special products of Katagami city.
“Restaurant Hana-no-daichi” is getting good reputations from women because it is possible to look flowers while they are having meals.

Our company founded in 1879, manufacturing and selling sake, miso, soy sauce, shochu. In the old brewery store from the Meiji period, brewing microorganisms keep the traditional taste and keep working around the clock. In addition, we renovated the brewery of sake and opened it as Ikuo Nakamura photo gallery "Blue Hall" in November 2009.

Top of Mt. Kanpuzan is covered with the grasses and it is clear from obstructions to the view. The view from Mt. Kanpuzan is so beautiful and it is reputed “A mountain of view, one of the three scenic spots in the world, Mt. Kanpuzan”. You can enjoy 360 degrees’ great panorama from the rotating observatory which makes one rotation in 13 minutes. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy the great view while you are eating, souvenir shop which has a lot of local products of Oga, Akita.

Herb World AKITA has their concept that is "Relaxing garden of the street where the sea breeze blowing". Many types of flowers and fruit trees, including world herbs, are cultivated in the site garden with a total area of 20,000 ㎡.

We provide Akita sightseeing information from Tohoku's largest roadside rest area "Nemun-no-oka".
The 1st floor has some souvenir shops such as Akita specialty goods and local products.
On the 2nd floor, there is a restaurant serving various menu such as popular seafood bowl (called Kaisen-don), Yuri beef, and original Ramen noodle.
On the 4th floor, there is a natural hot spring and you can enjoy the sunset set in the Sea of Japan.
From the free observation tower on the 6th floor, you can see the Japan Sea, Chokai Mountain, and Natural Treasure Kuju-kushima Islands.
The whole building is barrier-free and welcomes you in a relaxing space.

It is located along Route 13 in Daisen City. There is Ichirizuka (milestone) which indicates the distance from Nihonbashi, Edo (Tokyo). It has rarely remained both side of main road since Edo period.
We have wide range of specialties within Akita prefecture such as soft serve, rusk, and Kurumi Yubeshi those are seasoned with local specialty “Ajidoraku-no-sato bannou tsuyu (locally produced soy source with fish soup stock)”. Restaurant offers dishes using locally produced Akitakomachi(Rice) and ingredients. Lunch menu of the week is very popular. There is also farmer’s market selling fresh local vegetables. In addition, You can take a break at resting place open for 24 hours.

The Akita Furusato-mura is a recreation facility that can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. In addition to the area where optical illusion is exhibited, planetariums, studio in which can make handmade, craft exhibition hall with Akita traditional crafts, and Akita Prefectural museum of modern art also exists. There is also a restaurant where you can taste regional cuisine and locals' favorite food, as well as shops where you can buy souvenirs, confectionery, and gifts of Akita including Japanese Sake.

Sannai has actively interacted with other areas across the prefecture’s border since early times, as the north gateway of Akita Prefecture and also stopping point between the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The entire area of Sannai is surrounded by mountains, so you can see beautiful changes of the seasons. Locally grown products in the rich nature are very popular in our shop. There is wonderful food culture such as ”Sannnai Imonoko(stickey potatos)”, “Iburigakko(pickles)”, “Sannnai Ninjin(traditional carrot)”, “grape”, “Sannai Touji(Japanese Sake)” and “Buckwheat Noodle” . You can enjoy warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere in the great nature.

This building is established in 1910 as a welfare facility of Kosaka Mine. This is a half-Japanese and half-Western style wooden theatre. A clapboard style is adopted in the front exterior. That is painted in white. There are double-hung windows and serrated decorations which are lined up regularly. About the interior, there are tulip-shaped lamps on the ceiling. As you can see the octagon framework inside, it can be said that it is an elaborate western-style building. The tradition of Edo period is remained strongly in the gallery, two stage passages, the cut-out hole, the revolving stage and so on. Even now, many customers enjoy the regular performances and Kabuki play by famous actors.

Mt. Moriyoshi is known as one of the best 100 mountains of flowers and as one of the best 3 viewing spots of frost-covered trees. You can easily enjoy the view of pretty alpine plants in summer, colored leaves in autumn and magnificent frost-covered trees from a gondola. There is a shop and a restaurant. Rental services of ski wear and snowboard wear are available in winter that you can enjoy ski and snowboard without carrying the equipment. Please come and enjoy Mt. Moriyoshi.
